McLaren’s latest car is a convertible version of the 650S, itself launched just a few weeks ago. First shown in public at the Geneva Motor Show the McLaren 650S Spider is clearly influenced in design by the P1 hypercar.

GM appear to be trying to fill all the niche markets with one car as they launch the new Adam Rocks at Geneva. Pitched as an ‘urban mini-crossover convertible’ the new car has a more chunky look compared to the supermini on which it is based.

When we heard the rumours of an Range Rover Evoque Convertible a few months back we didn’t take them with much seriousness. A drop-top Rangie seemed a niche too far but the rumours were true and a completed concept car will be on show in Geneva in March.

Proving us quite wrong is the latest and greatest Veyron – the Bugatti Grand Sport Vitesse.

SsangYong are considering whether to follow Nissan and explore the market for a Convertible Crossover. Their SsangYong XIV-2 Convertible concept will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March as a successor to the hard-top XIV concept shown just last year.
