BMW once again has a range topping high-performance super-convertible in their range. Namely a new BMW M6 Convertible. Powered by the same twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 as the latest M5 saloon the M6 will be both more powerful and more economical than the car it replaces.

Preceding the all new car we hope to see introduce later this year a pair of new limited edition versions of the BMW 1-Series Convertible have been released. In what we expect may be a final edition, the small convertible comes a bundle of extras including unique wheel and trim designs.

In an unusual step for the often conservative German brand, the new design is clearly different to previous cars; taking inspiration from the Porsche Carrera GT supercar and 918 concept car.

Details of a new Bentley Continental GTC V8 has been released prior to its official unveiling at the Detroit Auto Show in January. The new V8 powered car will sit alongside the original Bentley Continental GTC W12 model at what we assume will be a lower price.

VW clock up their first award for the new Golf Cabriolet with a win in the Open-Top Cars category of the Scottish Car of the Year. The judges singled out the VW Golf Cabrio for its combination of good handling, economy and practicality.
