Mazda UK has introduced the limited endition Mazda MX-5 Z-Sport model. We have got used to Mazda’s many special edition cars with various equipment packages but no performance gains and this is no different. The Z-Sport is powered by the 2.0-litre SKYACTIV-G 160ps engine has Machine Grey Metallic paint and a (unique to the UK market) cherry coloured fabric roof. It comes bundled with 17-inch black BBS alloy wheels, Sand leather seats and a scattering of Z-Sport logo badges. The combination looks great but it will be limited to just 300 UK registered cars which will go on sale in March 2018.
Those looking for something for a more potent Mazda MX-5 can rest-assured that BBR have got it covered. In addition to the ‘Stage One’ turbo conversion for the 2.0-litre variant, they now also have a similar package for the 1.5-litre. Increasing power output to 210 bhp in combination with the lighter, more peppy engine should result in a really fun roadster.
Priced from £4395.00 excluding VAT, the package requires no mechanical alterations and is fully reversible. It is designed to provide an OEM level of quality and useability. Gains of 81 bhp and 86 lb.ft of torque should provide a much more rewarding driving experience.
