After 80 years of building what was basically the same car Morgan decided to do something new – it recreated an even earlier model. That is where the history ends, though, as the Morgan 3 Wheeler is targeting a whole new market for the company. It is fantastic fun to drive and will bring the Morgan brand to a younger audience who want a weekend plaything. It is just that – a giant toy that puts a big smile on the face of anyone who steps inside and flicks the jet fighter sourced starter button. It also brings bespoke car building to a brand new audience as the Three Wheeler is priced at a level that makes it accessible to many enthusiasts.
Power comes from an American made V-Twin bike engine and while doesn’t produce monstrous amounts of power is more than enough to make this lightweight little car a thrill to drive. The gearbox comes straight from a Mazda MX-5 Miata and helps to make the car feel easy to drive and confidence inspiring. Twin roll bars are the only nod to safety and there is no luggage space, roof or doors.
