The Ferrari 599 SA Aperta is an exclusive limited edition version of the 599 Fiorano supercar. It boasts the upgraded version of Ferrari’s brilliant V12 engine as used in the formidable 599 GTO. The Aperta is a true roadster with a light soft top designed to be resorted to only if the weather gets particularly bad. The car is lower than the other 599’s due to reduced ride height and a low-slung windscreen. The chassis has been redesigned to deliver a standard of stiffness said to be comparable to that of a closed Berlinetta and there is a negligible weight difference also. The Ferrari 599 SA Aperta will, however, be a rare sight on our roads as only 80 of this convertible 599 will be built.
