- Car brand: Chrysler
- Convertible roof type: Fabric
- Chrysler Sebring V6 Limited Convertible
- Chrysler Sebring 2.0 CRD Limited Convertible
The Sebring was America’s best-selling convertible car and held this position due to its practicality and versitility. Its the only convertible available with an option of vinyl, fabric or steel roof; all three being designed by Karmann and based on the same underlying structure. Suspension is comfortable rather than sporting making this very much a cruiser. Among the Sebring’s options are key-fob power roof operation, hard-drive music storage and electrically heated and cooled cup holders. The Chrysler Sebring was launched on the UK market for the first time in 2008.
I absolutely love my Sebring!! Despite the fact that it has so many blind spots, I can’t parallel park it, I love driving it, love the convertible mechanics and everything about it. This is my second convertible and by far the best one ever!
I am the unfortunate owner of a 2010 Sebring Convertible V6. The problems started within the first 5000klm and have continued ever since. This is without a doubt the worst new car I have ever purchased. There have been over 20 warranty claims from brakes to steering racks being replaced down to air conditioning no longer working. With a navigation system unable to be updated since 2010 (I later found out) the navigation system is useless as well. If only it was part of a novated lease I would have gotten rid of it in the first year. Will never buy another Chrysler given my experience with this model.
Chrysler also had a 1996-1999 Sebring convertible; I have a 1997 sitting in my driveway. It was made by Mitsubishi and sold by Chrysler. It has a Mitsubishi 2.5 v6 engine, it is a fun car to drive and very economical.
