The Lucra LC470 follows the same sports car formula created by the AC Cobra – a lightweight chassis, classic European style, roadster bodywork and a big American V8. Rather than Ford, the LC470 gets its power from a GM the LS3 6.2-litre V8 usually from the 2008 Corvette, however being a hand built car other engines are also available including the Mercedes AMG 6.3 V8 (with an optional WeIstec Supercharger) and LS7 7.0-litre V8 usually seen in the Corvette Z06.
Performance is breathtaking thanks to the potent engine and pared down carbon fibre body panels. The exterior design reflects classic racing cars of the 1960s but with details that bring it up to date. Inside is a sporting yet stylish quilted leather interior. While being nicely finished there are no modern gadgets or distractions fitted in order to keep weight to a minimum and to focus your attention on the driving experience.
