The Audi TTS Roadster will be the sweet-spot for many keen drivers who also want a refined and forgiving daily use car. It comes with the typical Audi build quality and plush interior. It also has a Audi’s Magnetic Ride adaptive damping system which constantly adapts to the road conditions or driving style. Quattro all-wheel-drive comes as standard of course and the sophisticated Electronic Stability Programm (ESP) can be turned off or partly off in the form of an ESP Sport mode.
On the road, the TTS flatters the driver with exceptional cornering ability and a safe but sporty suspension set-up. It is easy to feel like a driving hero from the heated leather Super Sports seats. It may not provide the driver feedback of a Porsche Boxster but it is better suited for year-round daily driving. The Audi TTS Roadster is fairly subtle on the outside. The TTS badging, silver mirrors (painted, they haven’t been aluminium for several years) and the not-so-subtle rear wing can all be removed by the dealer should you not want to draw too much attention. At which point you will have a very fast and capable car that flies nicely under the radar.
The suitably sporting interior has a nice mix of Alcantara and leather. The excellent Virtual Cockpit LCD instrumentation gets a unique layout and the flat-bottomed steering wheel has a full range of buttons and racey colour coded stitching.
