- Car brand: Aston Martin
- Convertible roof type: Fabric
Possibly the most stylish new car available. The Aston Martin DB9 Volante can’t quite match the coupé for handling, particularly on uneven roads and suffers from a breezy cabin at higher speeds, but the sheer presence and stunning looks more than make up for its shortfalls. It cannot be ignored that this is one of the most beautiful and finely finished cars ever made.
While the Volante’s handling is softened compared with the coupe but it is still a good car to drive. The Aston Martin V12 engine sounds wonderful and even the smallest feature is perfectly formed. The elegant cat-like styling lasted well, with minor design updates keeping it fresh since its launch in 2008. Perhaps the ultimate style statement, it sold over an 8 year lifetime to be replaced by the DB11 (the DB10 name being reserved for the James Bond film ‘Spectre’).
