The MINI Convertible gets a facelift for 2018. This small convertible car now boasts front and rear LED lights, optional double-clutch gearbox and an updated infotainment system among other upgrades.
Along with the hatchback, the UK market MINI Convertible gets LED lamps as standard throughout the range. LED-based daytime running lamps and indicators run around the lamp units in a ring design while the main headlamps have a brighter beam pattern than the previous halogen type. The rear lamps have a three-dimensional design with horizontal turn signals and vertical brake lamps within a Union Jack flag design.
A new 7-speed Steptronic double-clutch transmission is available as an option providing fast, precise gear changes automatically or on the MINI Cooper S, at the touch of a paddle for extra control and a sporty feel.
The new 6.5-inch colour infotainment screen provides USB and Bluetooth connectivity as well as touchscreen navigation, Apple CarPlay and wireless smartphone charging. It can also be controlled from the buttons on the multifunction steering wheel.
The range of engines have all been updated to optimise fuel efficiency, performance and emissions. The 3-cylinder petrol engine in the MINI One has had a capacity increase to 1.5-litres, improving the maximum torque output by 10 Nm, to 190 Nm.
Still got it!
