- Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 Roadster
There is no ignoring that the Chrysler Crossfire Roadster was designed to be an American car but in fact it was built in Germany and underneath the skin is the capable chassis of the 1996 Mercedes SLK, a Mercedes engine and many other Mercedes components. The styling is pure americana though and this continues to the interior. Buildquality is generally very good however some of the interior plastics feel a bit low-rent. The compact V6 engine is fast, smooth and tuneful which gives this roadster some extra character.
It’s an admirable car but doesn’t really shine among the likes of The Porsche Boxster and BMW Z4. Perfect if you are looking to break the mould with something a little unusual. The Crossfire was discontinued at the end of 2007 as part of Chrysler’s cost savings.
I have a 2005 Crossfire 30,000 miles runs great My front seat on the drivers side will not go forward ,does anyone know how to fix it?
