The Mazda MX-5 Miata Roadster is the Father of the modern convertible. Back in the 1980’s the convertible market had lost its way and almost completely dried up. In 1989 Mazda created a new car based on the principles of the 1960’s european sports car; a simple vehicle which is stylish and fun to drive but also affordable. It was an enormous hit and it is still the rule by which all other roadsters are judged.
This third major revision, known as the NC, remains true to the original concept. It may have grown a few luxuries but it is still a simple, affordable and above all fun car to own and drive.
In 2009 The MX5 Miata received cosmetic updates including the latest Mazda family grinning front grill.
The 1.8 base Miata isn't as quick as the 2 litre but it is still fun to drive and the roadster in its purest form. We'd save up a little more and get the bigger engine though as there really isn't much to lose economically.

The 2 litre is the more powerful of the two engines available; it is plenty quick enough without drinking too much fuel.
The Mazda MX5 Sport Tech comes with 6 speed gearbox - either a paddle-shift system called 'PowerShift' or a rather better manual. The PowerShift is let down by being a bit sleepy.
My car is a 2010 Grand Touring PRHT. It’s the 3 rd Miata we’ve had in the family – one of each generation . It’s the most comfortable, best all around model yet. The hardtop reduces unwanted wind noise which our previous versions (including a 1999 with removable hardtop) all suffered from with the top up.
I had wanted this car since its first launch in 1989; after long saving (budget) I now proud to own one in 2009. Always been my dream car.
Its a very nice and comfortable to drive car, recommended to all sporty enthutiasm.
