The Bentley Supersports Convertible is the final development of the original Bentley Continental range. It is built with performance in mind which means the interior has a much more purposeful design. It is not exactly what you would call spartan, though, the Supersport just has a lot more of a sporting look. There is plenty of carbon fibre and aluminium on show around the sports seats and outside the chrome work is dark as are the wheels.
An extra boost of power is also squeezed out of the W12 engine to ensure top speed of over 200mph and a sub 4-second 0-60 sprint. Impressive for a 2 and a half tonne car.
The GTC is the convertible model completing the Continental range alongside the GT coupe and four-door Flying Spur. Bentley chose to use the traditional soft roof for the car when many manufacturers are choosing to use sophisticated folding hard tops. The GTC benefits from this decision in looks, space and in weight. The roof folds away neatly below a slick leather tonneau cover and doesn’t infringe too much on luggage space. The design of the car is unaffected by the need to stow a roof and with the hood up or down it has the looks of an elegant drophead grand tourer.
