The problems caused by the last month’s earthquake in Japan continue to disrupt the countries supply chains and manufacturing output. The new Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet was just beginning its major production run when the disaster struck and the result is that only around 40 to 50 vehicles have been delivered to customers so far. This is especially damaging to a convertible car is it is now in its peak season.
It is likely that Nissan won’t be up to full production strength of the CrossCabriolet until the Autumn resulting in demand outstripping supply throughout the summer. We must admit to rather liking the convertible Murano despite its rather ungainly proportions. Hopefully the problems don’t effect the future of what was always already a speculative concept.
