The Ariel Atom is not your average convertible. In fact, it’s not really a usable road car. It is best described as a road-legal racing car. The mighty Atom is stripped down to the minimum components and rather than using space age materials and computer technology to give it performance it relies on a high revving Honda VTEC engine, a tubular space-frame and very little else. The resulting power to weight ratio along with excellent chassis and suspension design has given it a reputation for being something of a giant killer. Just hope it doesn’t rain as there are no roof, hood or body panels to speak of!
Options include a supercharger and sequential gearbox if fast isn’t enough for you.
