Fiat the new owners of Chrysler have apparently overturned the reported demise of the Chrysler Sebring Convertible. The Sebring was never shining star in its class but with the Toyota Camary Solara, Pontiac G6 Convertible and the Chrysler PT Cruiser all ceasing production, it is left with a fairly open market. To top this off it remains a firm favourite of rental fleets in the warm weather states of the US thanks to “move-em-out” pricing from Chrysler and demand for four-seat convertibles from vacationers.
2011 will see a face-lifted Sebring with reworked suspension, improved interior and the company’s new Pentastar V6. The rather indecisive option of either vinyl, canvas or folding hardtop roof may be cut down along the way.
