The Allard Motor Works J2X MKII is a modern hand-crafted version of the famed British competition roadster that stirred crowds in Europe and North America in the early 1950s. Now built in Montreal and powered by either GM, Chrysler or Cadillac engines, the company introduced a significant level of engineering and sophistication to the Allard J2X, without sacrificing its spirit. Like all good Anglo-American motoring collaborations, it has a fine chassis and brutish amounts of power.

I purchased a 6.1L 640 hp Hemi Allard J2X MKII in 2008. I have owned several high-performance sports cars, including a Lotus Super 7, an original Ford 427 Cobra, an original Ford 289 GT, and a Maserati Ghibli Spyder. The Allard is my favorite, as it is very fast and handles extremely well. It is a beautiful car, and always gets a “thumbs up” wherever I take it.
